This study was performed in order to clarify the correlation between the number of viable units inoculated and the tuberculin reaction or the local reaction resulted from the intracutaneous inoculation with freeze-dried BOG vaccine. The inoculation was done on pupils in primary school, who have never been vaccinated with BOG, and follow-up investigation was made every 1, 3, 6 and 12 months after the inoculation respectively. For the examination of tuberculin allergy the same lot of old tuberculin in a dilution of 1: 2000 (5 TU) was used every time.
