• Recently, it was found that N-phenyl-or naphtyl-α-amino acids easily decarboxylated by heating on wire gauze without heat-transmitter and gave the corresponding amines in high yield as shown in Table 2. These findings may by used to prepare secondray amine in high purity without fear of mixing tertiary amine from natural α-amino acids.
