Perforations can occur as a result of faulty insertion, by which the device is pushed into or through the uterine wall; such perforation may be called "primary perforation." They can also be due to displacement of the device through the forces of uterine contraction ie. "secondary perforation". There are many various methods to diagnose uterine perforation after IUD insertion. By using HYS-F or HYS-FT (Fujinon), it is very easy to get precise informations of cervical canal and uterine cavity, and then make correct diagnosis and management.
