In the previous reports, the effects of inorganic builders, surface activities and sorption on fabrics, on detergency of nonionic surfactant, polyoxyethylene nonyl phenyl ether, PEG-N<SUB>10</SUB>, have been studied.<BR>In this paper, the effect of temperature on detergency of PEG-N<SUB>10</SUB> in wool scouring test was studied with a result that its detergency increased at 5055°C sharply, and this was confirmed to depend on increase in surface activities, emulsifying power and solubilization.
