• Electrical potentials of the human brain during and after the vestibular stimulation by means of the injection with cold water (5°C, 10cc) in the external ear canal were observed.<BR>The results of the observation on several subjects showed considerable individual variation and supported the inference that the vestibular stimulation was not consistently effective, as is the case with the vesual stimulation, in depressing the α-rhythm of the human brain.
