The relationship between the water content in anhydrous hydrogen fluoride and its specific resistance measured by the Kohlrausch's bridge was sought. The standard hydrogen fluoride used in the study was purified by the fluorination method by elemental fluorine. The electric conductivity cell was made from poly-trifluoro-chloroethylene resin.<BR>The results were as follows.<BR>(1) The following equation was obtained between the water content (<I>x</I> wt%) and the specific resistance (<I>R</I> Ω cm), at -15°C.<BR>log <I>x</I>=1.808-1.528 log <I>R</I><BR>(2) The temperature effect on the specific resistance was represented as<BR><I>R</I>-15=<I>Rt</I>/0.937-4.02×10-3<I>t</I>+1.01×10-4<I>t</I>2<BR><I>Rt</I>: specific resistance at t°C<BR>(3) The sulphuric acid effect on the relationship between the specific resistance and the water content at -15°C was shown as log <I>R</I>=log (15.2-0.43<I>S</I>)-0.65 log <I>x</I><BR><I>S</I>: sulphuric acid concentration below<BR>5 wt%
