A new type apparatus for differential thermal analysis has been designed, which can be operated under the required conditions of D. T. A. analysis for organic materials.<BR>The characteristics of the apparatus was examined, and the optimum conditions of sampling and operating for D. T. A. analysis of synthetic polymer fibers have been especially investigated.<BR>Several kinds of polymers were analyzed and the data were classified qualitatively.
