For the determination of a trace amount of SO42- in industrial sulfamic acid, the nephelometric method is employed as a standard method shown in "JIS K 8587 (Reagent) Sulfamic Acid". The method, however, did not give any accurate and satisfactory results. The author has, this time, established a simple and rapid analytical method with a satisfactory results by depositing precipitates of barium sulfate employing powder of barium chloride in stead of solution, and by measuring the absorbance of the precipitates with a photometric colorimeter.
