The rapid analysis of small amounts of niobium, zirconim, manganese, chromium, vanadium and calcium in ilmenite was investigated by the standard addition method.<BR>The concentration of these elements in ilmenite was from 0.1 to 1.0% as oxides.<BR>The method proposed by the authors was as follows. A sample and dispersion medium, consisting of paraffin, lead stearate, stearic acid and polyethylene, were placed in a porcelain crucible, and melted on a heater. The obtained mixture was poured into an aluminum ring and pressed at 100 kg/cm<SUP>2</SUP>.
