Simple and rapid spectrophotometric methods were proposed for the determination of microamounts of iron and copper in pure tin. A large amount of tin (1V) was masked by tartaric acid, and influences of other impurities were removed by EDTA. The iron and copper were determined spectrophotometrically with o-phenanthroline and sodium diethyldithiocarbamate, respectively. The time for an analysis was remarkably reduced and the analytical results were in good agreement with those by JIS and other methods.
