Results of performance test of preformed graphite electrodes provided by three manufacturers in Japan are described.Qualitative epectrographic examination for purity, quantitative determination of boron content, measurements of specific resistivity and anode cup temperature, observation on the "burn-off"character in arc discharge and test on machining are carried out.Working curves in standard analytical condition are prepared by the use of these preformed electrodes.
