Using the Raman experimental arrangement which was composed of an argon ion laser, a simple grating spectrometer and a dielectric transmittance filter with a steep edge, Raman spectra were measured. The Raman lines of the lattice vibrations were hardly observed, but almost all the Raman lines of the intramolecular vibrations were observed. Raman lines of 190 cm<SUB>-1</SUB> for NaNO<SUP>3</SUP> single crystal and 328 cm<SUB>-1</SUB> for p-dichlorobenzene were observed. These filters are also useful for the rejection of stray light of a double-monochromator. Accordingly, the dielectric transmittance filters are very convenient for the measurement of Raman spectra of solids.
