• The material dealt with in the previous paper (this Bulletin, 6 (5), 1938) underwent further examination and several biometric constants were computed (Tables I-V and Figs. 4 and 5). Back-calculation of body length by the method ; of LEA was also, done and the results are shown in Figs. 1-3. It goes without saying that, the, bank cod is, stouter than the off-shore one since it was observed that the width at the cheek is much larger in the former. But the two are not distinguishable in taxonomic characters from each other except, that the female of the bank cod has much higher correlation-coefficient between body length and longest gillraker on first gill-arch. It is very remarkable that none younger than 3 years were found in the bank region and individuals of 3-year class of this region are much larger than the corresponding ones of the off-shore region.
