This experimental research has been performed at DOAI Snow-camp in March 1955-1957. A method is described for construction of snow-camp "igloo", determination of atmospheric temperature and humidity and the effect of living in snow-camp on body health.<BR>The experimental results are as follows : The height of igloo was decreased rapidly for 3 days after perfection and inner diameter was also decreased day after day. The deformation of the construction was concerned with the nature of snow and the depth of wall, temperature and humidity of inner and outer atmosphere. Generally, inner temperature was higher than that of outdoors, and also inner humidity 90% or more from the experiment of electric hygrometer. Atmospheric condition in igloo which was determined by the use of Kata thermometer was nearly equal to that of living house in the same province. The volume of CO2 gas at the living time was almost negligible, and pH value of saliva of the member of living in igloo was showed nearly normal value.<BR>It can be concluded that igloo is a fairly efficient and comfortable device of refuge in snow-camps.
