Disc-electrophoresis of DNA-containing polyacrylamide gel was introduced as a new method for evaluation of DNase in the epidermis. Cow snout epidermis was used as a sourse of epidermis. The gel was incubated in acetate buffer (pH 5.0) containing EDTA. The single DNase-band appeared on the staining gel. DNase patterns obtained from the three successive layers of epidermis were not different on the electrophoresis.
