An Immunobead rosette assay was used to differentiate human RBC that were homozygous for the Rh0 (D) antigen from human RBC that were heterozygous for the Rh0 (D) antigen. Additionally, we confirmed the dose response phenomena observed in rosette assays when the percentage of rosette forming cells was evaluated as a function of antibody titer used for sensitization. The Immunobead rosette assay provided a simple, yet effective method for differentiating the genotypes of cell surface antigens in the Rh system and could feasibly be adapted to study virtually any cell surface antigens.
