• The physical growth of school children in Japan for 54 years from 1900 to 1953 was examined by application of the method, reported previously in the "Analytical Study of the growth Gurve."<SUB>(1)</SUB> The materials, taken mainly from the Educational Ministry's School Statistics, were studied by analysing the growth curves for them, particularly the curves tracing the rate of relative increase, the periods of life in which the curves rise to the acme, and the age distribution over those periods. The conclusions reached were as foilows.
