T-cell subsets of patients with liver diseases were investigated. The results were as follows. 1) In patients with liver diseases, the percentages of Tγ were elevated, while the percentages of Tμ were depressed, compared with healthy controls. The percentages of T-cell subsets well reflected the severity of liver diseases. 2) In many cases of female with liver diseases, abnormality of T-cell subsets was seen. In those cases, the percentages of Tγ Were elevated, and those of Tμ were depressed, in comparison with casas of man with liver diseases. 3) HBs antigen positive cases with liver diseases tended to be lower in the percentages of Tμ, than HBs antigen negative cases. 4) The patients with liver diseases, who showed higher percentages of Tγ, have to be observed with attention as to progression of chronicity.
