A closed system technique for measuring pH in aqueous humor may be considered as very reliable method for prevention of carbon dioxide leak and of thermoerror, and all experiments have been obtained in a closer approach to physiological normalcy.
The problem of measuring pH in this system has also been discussed as well as some of the difficulties.
The pH shift from aqueous humor to blood may confirm the findings of previous investigators of a active transport for the electrolyte.
Both in rabbit and in human, aqueous humor and blood may be considered as a buffer system to be applicable to Henderson-Hasselbalch's equation.
Finally acetazoleamide effect for eyes has also been viewed in this light.
Finally the author expresses his sincere thanks to Prof. R. Ooka, and Instructor K. Kawashima for continuous guidance and encouragement.
