If the yeast was added simultaneously when carotene and α-tocopherol were given to the rats deficient in vitamin A and E, the amount of vitamin A in the liver and kidney was more increased and also the weight was gained. And through further pursuits, we found it was Mn that accelerated the increase of vitamin A in the liver and kidney and the gains of the weight. Finally it became evident that it is Mn from the consequence of examining the factor of the increase of Vitamin A in yeast and weight gains.
