The results of a modified osmotic fragility tests in cases of Rb Tochigi including propositus, her affected sister and father, were presented. These results suggested that this method could demonstrate the character-istic feature of their red blood cells, presenting peculiar instability and increased fragility. This method might be used as a screening test in routine work up for hemolytic anemia, together with conventional Parpart's method.
