Numerical analysis of typical reactor kinetics problems is made with a digital computer. In the description of recurrence relation, several equivalent reciprocal periods of time are proposed to reduce difficulty in treating the discontinuity of reactivity and to improve accuracy in computation. A vari-able time interval corresponding to the prevailing state is also introduced to save machine time.<BR>The results obtained show fairly good agreement with rigorous solutions evaluated analytically for step inputs of reactivity, and also incorporate nonlinear effects when referred to the linearized approximation for sinusoidal inputs of reactivity.
