• The phonon spectrum of light water ice at 0°C is computed by the root sampling methodfor a sampling of 1, 050 points in an irreducible sampling region of the first Brillouin zone.<BR>The scattering law for thermal neutron scattering in hexagonal ice is also calculated and found to agree well with reported experimental values.
