• The size distribution of non-spherical objects is stereologically estimated by measuring the unidirectional maximum diameters of the sectioned figures, in consideration of the dimensionless shape functions having been previously determined on the basis of the outlines of the figures. The distributions obtained as histograms are also analyzed according to the compound log normal law previously proposed for quantitative comparison.
