A case of 17 year-old female, which showed the Parkinsonismus localized in her face and side of the neck as the side effect of perphenazine applied to improve the postoperative nausea of radical mastoidectomy was reported.There is still no report of the side effect of perphenazine applied even by usual dose during long term in ear nose and throat clinic, much less such a small dose within short term (12mg a day, 3 days). The reason why there is no report of the side effect of perphenazine was discussed.Although the syndrome of side effect was completely reversible, the inhibitory effect on the development of foetus if the derivatives of this drug was administered to pregnant patients in large enough doses as to cause the side effect can be surmised.
