To examine the alteration of the plasma free-catecholamine level during hemopurification in a patient with pheochromocytoma, the levels of plasma free-catecholamine and total catecholamine in the filtrate were monitored pre- and post-hemopurification. Approximately 100μg of total catecholamine was removed by the hemopurification procedure though the high level of plasma-free catecholamine remained unaltered.(Internal Medicine 31 : 438-440, 1992)
