(1) Some improvements of the original method of VGG reconstruction were attempted.(2) The potential differences between some pairs of lead-points in a human torso model were experimentally measured and compared with those calculated through the use of formula introduced by Wilson. By this comparison, some coefficients, i.e. the correction coefficients, were obtained and were used to multiply the calculated value to approximate it to the measured value.(3) Using the calculated potential differences thus corrected by the correction coefficients, the VCGs in a hypothetical case of normal heart were reconstructed. For purposes of comparison, the VCGs in the same case were also reconstructed through the use of the non-corrected calculated potential differences. The former was found to be much more similar in configuration to the VCGs actually recorded in a healthy person than the latter. This is considered to give the reconstruction method more reliability in its application to the explanation of the changes in VCG or EGG.(4) The reconstructed VGGs in Frank's, SVEC III, and P III lead systems, were compared with the projection VCG and the former was very close in configuration to the latter. Thus, it may be considered, also from the view-point of the reconstruction method, that the VCG lead systems as proposed on the basis of the principle of "lead vector" are good lead systems to obtain a VCG with least distortion.
