This personal computer based-consultation system promotes energy saving for a wide variety of industrial furnaces such as general combustion furnaces, electric furnaces and a cupola. This system accomplishes interactive and easy operation by code input to save the operators trouble.The major functions are as follows.(1) Calculation of heat balance (heat input/heat output) and the performance indexes.(2) Practical application study for energy saving means and the economical evaluation.(3) Optimum operation study considering high thermal efficiency.
