• Daido Steel Co., Ltd. and Daido Heat Treatment Co., Ltd. have jointly developed a special heat treatment ⌈HIT⌋ method (High Impact-value Treatment Process) for prolonging the die life of diecasting dies by 2 to 3 times that of conventional method.This method prevents molds from causing quenching crack and reduces heat-checking in consequence of the controlled cooling rate in the quenching process.Features include: (1) high strength and superior toughness of dies, (2) remarkably reduced rough surface of diecastings, (3) reduced cost by minimizing repair buffing process of the castings.
