Computer network architectures were published by various computer makers in about 1975. These architectures are similar in thought, but different in detailed protocol. For this reason, connection of different makers computer is very difficult. We developed computer network system named DNS (Daido Network System) in 1984. Basic function of DNS is as follows;(1) File Transter(2) On line real time.(3) Remote job entry.We have 8 computer sets (Head Office, Tokyo Branch, Hoshizaki Plant, Chita Plant, Shibukawa Plant, Kawasaki Plant, Tsukiji Plant and Takakura Works). The items of computer are ACOS by NEC: 5 sets, FACOM by FUJITSU: 2 sets, and UNIVAC: 1 set.In DNS, computer of Chita P. is central machine. Other computer is connected by NTTs commumication line for Chita P. The application of DNS results in more timely and also, more correct data communication.
