A development was made about a system for treatment of sewage suldge through pyrolysis and melting by the help of arc furnace.The melting furnace is of tight-closed construction. The sludge changes into gas and slag through pyrolysis and melting.The gas can be used as fuel and it is possible to use the slag as aggregate for concrete.A trial calculation of the running cost was made about 4 representative flows of the captioned system.
