• Industrial waste water has been usually treated by sedimentation and flotation.High technology of tertiary treatment is now required to meet stricter environmental regulations. In-depth filter uses less water by adopting a new backwash mechanism, which is different from the conventional rapid filtration using anthracite and has its filtration speed three or four times as high as that of the conventional filter by using a polyvinyl chloride filter media. These characteristics can also make the system compact. This system was developed by Hydromation Filter Co., U.S.A. and now attracts public attention as a unique filtration system of Daido-Hydromation Corp..
