In order to develop a simple separation process by extraction chromatography of trivalent minor actinides (MA) and lanthanides (Ln), a novel macroporous silica-based R-BTP (BTP: 2,6–bis–(5,6–dialkyl–1,2,4–triazine–3–yl)–pyridine, R: isohexyl) extraction resin was synthesized by impregnating the R-BTP extractant into the pores of SiO2-P support particles. The adsorption property of simulated fission products including Ln was investigated with HNO3 solution onto the R-BTP extraction resin. It was found that Dy(III), probably similar adsorbability to MA (III), was dominantly adsorbed onto the resin in 2-4 M HNO3 solution at 50℃, compared with the other Ln (III). In addition, the chemical stability and thermal decomposition property of the resin were evaluated and the resin was resistant to HNO3 solution at ambient temperature.
