A Fokker-Planck equation in a presence of fluctuations is studied by using the functional integral representation that is analogous to the Feynmans path integral. With the help of the mathematical techniques used in the quantum field theory, a closed set of equations for an ensemble-averaged distribution function and a response function is derived. As an application, the effect of fluctuations on the radial profile of rf-induced current density is also studied.
