Diphenyl, o-phenylphenol and thiabendazole were analyzed in citrus fruits. The peel and edible parts were separately homogenized. These fungicides were extracted with dichloromethane from the homogenate, and they were fractionated with Sephadex LH-20 columns. Gas chromatography was used to determine the presence of these fungicides. The fungicides found in edible parts of citrus fruits were confirmed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. Diphenyl, o-phenylphenol and thiabendazole were detected in imported grapefruits, lemons and oranges. Almost all fungicides were found in the peel. The concentrations of the three fungicides in the edible parts were very low. Some samples contained all three fungicides in the edible parts.
