The onset of allergy was rare in Japan immediately after the Second World War, but has beenremarkable increased in the current two decades. So that using the method of questionnaires, wesurveyed 308 hotels in Hiroshima City, Japan to know how corresponding services are availableagainst visitors of allergic patients to eliminate allergic symptoms during staying there. 34 of thesurveyed hotels were found as taking room accommodations and/or served foods into some considerationswhen visitors of allergic patients request. Among these hotels, corresponding services forroom accommodations against guests of allergic patients contained use of wallpaper without generationof formaldehyde(9 hotels) , and arrangement of appropriate accommodations such as an air purifierto avoid pollen and mold, major materials causing allergic syndromes (7 hotels) . On the otherhand, corresponding services of the hotels for served foods against guests suffering from foodallergy contained menus not using some foods (30 hotels) or changing cookery (16 hotels) if theyrequested, informing a part or all of foodstuffs in menu (5 hotel) , and pre-preparing menus withoutcow's milk and/or hen's egg, (4 hotels) . These results suggested that there were not many hotelshaving corresponding services when allergic patients stay in Hiroshima City to get adequate quality,so that administrative guidance is necessary to increase the hotels taking appropriate measures forthe patients to prevent appearance of allergic syndromes.
