中学生における「食育」の効果的な教材研究

Though food education in elementary and jinior high school has been promoted centrally by Nutrition Teachers since the Basic Law of Foof Education was esrablished, effective teaching materiales are yet to be found in the classroom. In Jine and December 2010, in an attempt to develop effective teaching materials for food education in jinior high schools, schools that employ nutrition educators were asked to use developmental teaching material - the "Dietary Habit Step-up Guide" - on an experimental basis every day for one week. The teaching material presented six lifestyle habits, invluding vreakfast-eating, and required students to record the current state of their personal eating habits, objectives, practices, and assessments. With the exception of amount of sleep, advantageous results were obtained for all aspects of the lifestyle habits described in the "Dietary Habit Step-up Guide". Moreover, advantageous effect was particularly high with regard to sentiments concerning the enjoyment taken in school lunches and the sense of freshness achieved in the morning. Furthrmore, the advantageous effects of the teaching material observed in the June and December trials were constant regard to breakfast-related content.
