千葉大学大学院人文社会科学研究科研究プロジェクト報告書第218集『多文化接触場面の言語行動と言語管理』 接触場面の言語管理研究 vol.7 村岡英裕 編In this study, in order to better understand the tendencies and characteristics of the interactions between a native Japanese speaker and a native Chinese speaker, I conducted a role-playing investigation, along with a follow-up interview, concerning expressions of dissatisfaction or complaints. Specifically, the questions I sought to answer were: 1) what classifies a side as a complaining side in the eyes of the native speaker of the opposite language, and 2) what kinds of utterance functions are used by each person to develop a dissatisfaction statement. In the findings, I was able to clarify the characteristic of the dialogue and nature of the exchange in relation to culture by comparing Chinese and Japanese native tongues. In addition, the expression of dissatisfaction was mutually understood as an opposition utterance. Therefore, not only language ability but also sociolinguistics.the depth of societal and cultural knowledge.is necessary for contact among speakers of different native tongues.
