• The limiting width-thickness ratios for yield strength, full plastic strength and plastic analysis are also influenced by the coupling of flange and web. In this paper the limiting width-thickness ratios for plastic strength of steel H-section in bending are investigated by the experiment of well selected models from ready-made rolled steels H-sections. Test results are discussed by the comparisons of the current design codes.
