There are sediments of Neogene and Quarternary in the Kikaijima Island, Kagoshima prefecture. Thebasal stratum of Kikaijima is Shimajiri Group which is covered unconformably by Ryukyu Limestone. Thereare very few about research on the foraminifer from sediment of Kikaijima. The purpose of this thesis is toclarify preliminarily the foraminiferal assemblage in the sediment of Shimajiri Group from the Kikaijima.
