The accuracy of the reconstruction algorithm of estimating the relative permittivity of a dielectric cylinder using the extended technique of the Born approximation is examined in this report. The integral equation is solved by method of moment. Born approximation and its related various approximate methods such as the Iterative Born approximation, the Extended Born approximation, and Distorted Born approximation are applied in order to determine relative permittivity of a cylinder. Numerical simulations are performed for a dielectric cylinder to show the reconstruction accuracy. From the numerical results, the Distorted Born approximation is efficient for the case of this report.
