The life history of the visually impaired Mr. T. given below is an account of a totally blind university student (now already working). It is intended not as a study of disabled children/ people but as a study of getting a career. In the development of Mr. T's career, we pay attention to the "hostility" regard to the problem from the internal and external environment. Moreover, when he designed his career, we can learn how he got over it strategically for the purpose stated here. As a result of the investigation, even for a person with disabilities like him, it emerged that the will to live as himself and his desire to contribute to society affected his personal way of life and career development. In addition, when one considers the support the visually impaired receive for getting job, one can recognize the importance of cultivating the notion that they want to contribute to or be connected with other people.
