The current study found the following results:1. The visual feedback helped participants identify and improve their problems in motor skillacquisition.2. An examination of the subjects’ insights using SCAT indicates that visual feedback enablesthem to (1) objectively view themselves as “others,” (2) find specific problems to beimproved, and (3) consider such problems as their own goals and attempt to achievethem.3. Several descriptions through open-ended questions suggest that visual feedback motivatesthe participants to improve themselves. The results also revealed that the subjects weresurprised at the gap between the expected desired action and the observed real behavior.Real-time feedback is a significant driver of the learners’ desires to acquire motor skillsand is an important source of motivation because it allows the learners to have intentionsto follow others who have higher motor skills.
