In Mongolia, Japanese language learners are increasing in number, in recent years. The purpose of the present study was to clarify the different cognition about learning Japanese from the past learners.A questionnaire survey was completed by 277 university students in Mongolia. The results showed that many students have positive cognition about learning Japanese, but also they feel somewhat difficulty with learning. And they feel inconvenience due to the lack of good textbooks.These results suggest that it is important to develope good textbooks and to make praising and encouraging approach by teachers.
