In this study, we have carried out social experiments, called "Fukui Street Film Show" and "Virtual Products Development", in order to grope for a new methodology in community development. Both of the experiments can be understood as social events on theme of combining memory and imagination. The memory would be defined to be attached to the place by means of knowing the past of the place in this paper. And, the imagination could be explained to be taken to space by installing the virtual dimension of the space with computer graphics. With the memory and imagination, we would write how the new methodology of media design could be applied to community development.
