• With complaints of gross hematuria and colic, a 12-year-old boy was referred to this department on Feb. 3, 1978. IVP revealed left hydronephrosis and VCG disclosed left VUR. On the cystoscopic examination a polyp was observed in the posterior urethra. The patient had no difficulty in urination. Anti-reflux operation (Hutch's 1st method) and resection of polyp were done. Histological finding of polyp showed ectopic prostatic tissue. We collected II cases of clinically reported ectopic prostatic tissue in the Japanese medical literature. This case is the youngest one in the reported cases.
