A case of metastatic ureteral tumor that caused anuria was reported. A 45-year-old man, previously treated with high anterior resection of the sigmoid colon for carcinoma in 1975, was admitted for evaluation of anuria on May 18, 1977. Retrograde examinations including bilateral retrograde ureterography showed a complete obstruction of the left ureter and a stricture of the midureter on the right side. Chest X-ray films also showed multiple metastatic tumors. Uretero-ureteral anastomosis with splinting as well as nephrostomy was performed on the right side after resection of the narrowed ureter. The pathological findings revealed metastasis to the ureter from the mucinous adenocarcinoma of the sigmoid colon. Literatures were reviewed briefly.
