A procedure for obtaining family realizations of a transfer function matrix is proposed. Unlike some family realization procedures of it from Markov parameters which have been reported by Eydgashi or others, the procedure developed through observable canonical form in this paper is much easier, and the structure of the system obtained by it is very simple. The procedure is arranged with a simple example in the algorithm. Finally, it is also shown that algorithm is applicable to the design of 2-dimensional digital filters. Since realization problems like this for 2-dimensional systems have not reported yet, the procedure proposed here seems to be effective in designing the 2-dimensional filters such as reduce noises or sensitivities of the system parameters.
