In this paper, a new equipment for arranging fine iron wires of 10~15mm length is developed. The uniform magnetic field in the air gap of a magnetic circuit is used to arrange these wires. An electorical circuit is also investgated to demagnetize the residual magnetization. Distance of the air gap is adjustable for wires of variable length and to give a slope to the magnetic field. The circuit for the demagnetization is RLC series circuit in which L and R are given by the exciting coil itself, and C is added the same when the exciting current is cut off to make the current in the coil decay with osillation. The best current waveform for demagnetization is investigated and the value of capacitance suitable for the waveform is given.
