In the previous article, the author has described about the trend analysis technique using the coefficients of orthogonal polynomials in the usual case when the independent variable was equally spaced. But in the unusual case when the independent variable is unequally spaced, the coefficients must be calculated by the new formula suggested by Robson. In the present article, the author try to make an extension of Robson's formula to calculate the coefficient of quintic (5th-dygree) trend, and to prepare the computational program for "PC-7200" to calculate the coefficients of orthogonal polynomials in such an unusual case as described before.
